What Are the Grape Backwoods?

The grape backwoods is a term for any and all areas within a certain region that are located outside of the boundaries of a city. These areas typically consist of hills, woods, marshy land, etc.

There are still some major cities that are located there, and they tend to be more moderate than the cities found farther inland.
